_P_o_l_e _P_o_s_i_t_i_o_n_s _o_f _N_e_w _C_a_l_e_d_o_n_i_a_n _L_a_t_e_r_i_t_e_s

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s_:

     lat: The latitude (in degrees) of the pole position.
          Note that all latitudes are negative as the axis
          is taken to be in the lower hemisphere.

    long: The longitude (in degrees) of the pole position.

_S_U_M_M_A_R_Y_:

     The `polar' data frame has 50 rows and 2 columns.

     The data are the pole positions from a paleomagnetic
     study of New Caledonian laterites.

_D_A_T_A _D_E_S_C_R_I_P_T_I_O_N_:

     This data frame contains the following columns:
